A Bird’s Wisdom
Birds can be a great teacher! Sesame Street’s Big Bird has been helping kids learn about letters, numbers, and plenty of other helpful skills since the 1960s. That’s tons of generations of kids, all learning their ABC’s and 123’s from the kind and colorful bird. So, of course, our costume designers wanted to pay homage to Big Bird with this officially licensed Sesame Street costume!
Design & Details
Straight from Sesame Street to you, this Bird Bird Costume helps you transform into your favorite avian educator! Our designers really wanted to capture Big Bird’s kindly nature in a comfortable costume, and this is what they came up with. The outfit starts with a bubble tunic made out of faux fur material. It fits with a simple fastener at the back of the neck, making it easy to change into. Elastic in the sleeve cuffs also add a snug, yet comfortable fit.
The pants are constructed out of a brushed knit flannel material and fit with an elastic band in the waist. Foam rings around the legs help give them a classic Big Bird look. The hood fits with a fastener in the back of the neck, and has soft sculpted features in the front, including a pair of goofy eyes and a big beak in the front. Finish it all off with a pair of gloves and shoe covers, and you have a full Sesame Street experience!
